Yacht Charter Terms You Can Check Before You Pay
See who you sign with and where the 30% deposit goes, then send your date. We hold the yacht free and reply within 15 minutes.
Yacht charter reviews help most when you read them for detail and then confirm the same details in writing before you pay. A review shows how one trip felt. The rental agreement, the deposit and the cancellation terms show what you are actually buying, and you can ask for all three in advance.
Reviews tell you what other guests felt. The contract tells you what you get on your date. Pick a charter yacht below, or answer 5 quick questions and a charter advisor replies within 15 minutes, every day from 8 am to 10 pm.
Before you send a deposit to any yacht charter company, get eight answers in writing. The eight are: who you sign with, where the deposit goes, the total price, cancellation, weather, group size, paperwork and insurance. Here is what to ask for and what you get with us.
| Check | What to ask | What you get with us |
|---|---|---|
| Who you sign with | Whose name is on the rental agreement | The agreement is with the yacht owner, signed before departure |
| Deposit | How much it is and who receives it | A 30% deposit goes directly to the yacht owner and the balance is paid at the dock. Pay any way you like, and installments are possible |
| Total price | Whether tax, fees and tip are in the quote | Tax is in the price, there are no payment fees, and the price is the same every day. A crew tip is extra, usually 15–20% |
| Cancellation | The last day for a free change | Free reschedule up to 24 hours before departure, and your advisor agrees the new date with you. Cancellation terms for your date are confirmed before you pay |
| Weather | Who decides and what you get | The captain decides. With an 80% chance of rain or wind of 25 mph or more, you get another date at no extra cost |
| Group size | The guest limit for your yacht | Up to 13 people including the charterer, and each yacht card shows its own limit |
| Paperwork | The current Coast Guard documents for the boat and the captain | Ask us or the yacht owner to show them before you pay. The federal rules are explained on our Coast Guard rules page |
| Insurance | Who holds it | Insurance is held by the yacht owner |
Keep the answers in one message or one document, so you can compare two companies side by side. The full wording of our terms is on the booking terms page.

Match My YachtWe are charter advisors. We match your group and date to a yacht, check that it is open, and confirm the rental agreement with the yacht owner before departure. A person replies within 15 minutes, every day from 8 am to 10 pm, so you can ask every question from the checklist before you pay anything.
We work from an office at 19877 E Country Club Dr, Miami, FL 33180. Each yacht is checked before it is listed, and the agreement for your booking is with the yacht owner. Read more about us.
Reschedule for free up to 24 hours before departure, and we agree the new date with you. If the yacht breaks down, you get a new date or a full refund. Weather follows the rule in the table above. The booking terms page has the details for every case.
Call or message on WhatsApp at +1 (305) 777-6918, or write to info@yachtcharteradvisor.com. Prefer to start with a date? Answer 5 quick questions and we hold the yacht for free; if another guest asks for it, you have 24 hours to decide. The questions people ask most are answered below.
How to book
1. Choose a yacht
Browse the catalog, or answer 5 questions and we'll pick.
2. Send a request
By form, phone or WhatsApp.
3. Free date hold
We hold the date with no obligation to book. If another guest asks for the yacht, you get 24 hours to say yes.
4. Pay the 30% deposit
To the yacht owner, and sign the charter agreement.
5. Pay at the dock
Pay the balance, meet your captain and head out.
Ask for the rental agreement, the deposit terms and the cancellation window in writing before you pay anything. A trustworthy yacht charter company gives them without delay, names the yacht owner on the contract and answers the phone. With us the agreement is with the yacht owner, and an advisor replies within 15 minutes.
Read for detail, not for stars. A useful review gives a date, a group size and one specific moment, such as how the captain handled the weather. Check who wrote each review, compare Google with other sources, and look twice at a sudden run of five-star reviews. Then confirm the same points in the contract.
They exist, which is why the FTC's rule on consumer reviews prohibits them, along with undisclosed insider reviews and review suppression. As a customer, check the reviewer's other activity and compare several sources, as in the list above.
Check who receives the deposit, how much it is and when the balance is due. Here the deposit is 30%, paid directly to the yacht owner, and the balance is paid at the dock. Also ask for the cancellation window, the weather rule and the guest limit. The eight checks above cover all of it, and the booking terms page has the full wording.
The question is about the Coast Guard's passenger limits for small vessels, which depend on how a boat is crewed and chartered. We lay those rules out with sources on our Coast Guard rules page. For our yachts, a group is up to 13 people including the charterer.
Charters start at $700 for 4 hours, and the price depends on the yacht and on the hours you choose: 4, 6 or 8. The yachts above start at $1,075 for 4 hours. Tax is included, there are no payment fees and the price is the same on any day. A crew tip is extra. Compare every yacht on the prices page.
Compare what you can verify: who signs the contract, who receives the deposit, the cancellation window and how fast someone answers. With us the yacht owner signs, the owner receives the 30% deposit, and an advisor replies within 15 minutes. We put the terms in front of you before you pay anything.
The captain decides on the weather. With an 80% chance of rain or wind of 25 mph or more, you get another date at no extra cost. Light rain is not a reason to move, and weather that turns bad once you are out on the water is not compensated.
