Renting a yacht in Miami takes five steps. First, choose a yacht; then send your date and group size, and a charter advisor holds it free. You pay a 30% deposit to the yacht owner, sign the rental agreement with the owner, and pay the remaining balance at the dock. Here are the five steps, followed by the questions guests ask most.

Dress for sun, water and a breeze, and bring only what makes the day easier. The yacht already carries towels, a floating mat, a cooler and a Bluetooth speaker, so most groups arrive with a small bag. These five cards cover the basics.
A swimsuit under light clothes works for most charters. Add sunglasses, a hat and a light layer for the breeze on Biscayne Bay. Soft-soled shoes or bare feet are easiest on deck, and the captain can tell you about the surfaces on your yacht.
Sunscreen, a charged phone for photos and a small bag for dry clothes are enough. Towels and a floating mat are on board. Set aside the crew tip too, which is not included in the price and is usually 15–20%.
Bring your own food and alcohol, or let us arrange catering, a private chef, a bartender or a DJ. Add-ons need 48 hours' notice, and your advisor confirms the price before you pay. See yacht rental with a chef.
Children count toward the group limit of 13 people including the charterer. Tell your advisor how many kids are coming and their ages when you send your date, so the yacht fits the whole family.
The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, and South Florida's wet season runs roughly from mid-May to mid-October, with showers and afternoon storms. The captain makes the weather call on charter day; see the booking terms.

A captain, fuel for a standard Miami route, ice, water and the on-board gear. On yachts from 50 ft and on all two-deck yachts, a steward is included too.
Weather and timing
The captain decides. With a rain chance of 80% or more, or wind of 25 mph or more, your advisor offers another date at no extra charge, and if none fits, a refund. Light rain is not a reason to move the charter.
The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30. South Florida's wet season runs roughly from mid-May to mid-October, typically with frequent afternoon storms. Send your date and your advisor tells you what to expect on your yacht day.
Charters run 4, 6 or 8 hours, and 4 hours is the shortest. Choose 8 hours for a full day on the water. Every yacht card shows the price for all three lengths.
Under our standard terms it is free up to 24 hours before departure, and your advisor agrees a new date with you. Later than that, the deposit is not returned. All cases are listed in the booking terms.
Extras and longer trips
We arrange catering, a chef, a bartender, a DJ, a photographer and decor with 48 hours' notice. For jet skis, ask your advisor and see jet ski rental in Miami and water toys.
Send your dates and group, and an advisor confirms which yacht can make the trip and the final terms before you pay anything. We only send a yacht to the Bahamas if it holds the required Bahamas charter license. Start with Miami to Bahamas yacht charter.
Your date
Weekend yachts in Miami get booked early. Send us your date and group size, and we'll keep the yacht for you while you talk it over with friends.
