A touring Sea-Doo with a 230 hp Rotax engine, a wide platform at the back and a contoured seat that keeps a passenger settled on longer rides.
The Sea-Doo GTX 230 belongs to the touring family, the models Sea-Doo shapes for comfort over distance. It fits riders who plan to stay out for a full hour or a guided route, and pairs who want room and a smooth ride more than a short splash around.
A contoured, stepped seat gives the passenger a raised, cushioned spot behind the driver. Past the seat, a large rear platform has space to sit between runs or step back aboard from the water, and LinQ attachment points take cargo accessories. The 230 hp Rotax 1630 ACE engine delivers strong, quick pull, the iDF system helps clear weeds and debris from the pump, and Bluetooth audio comes from the factory on this model.
The extra power shows within the first few minutes of a 30-minute ride, while an hour gives two riders time to settle in and cover more water. For a planned course, book one or two hours with a guide. Rates on the GTX 230: $90 per half hour, $150 per hour, $160 for a guided hour and $300 for a two-hour guided route.
The GTX is part of the touring line: it adds a contoured stepped seat, a larger rear platform and LinQ points for accessories, and its 230 hp engine pulls noticeably harder than recreation machines.
Behind the driver, on the raised rear section of the seat, which is shaped to hold a second rider in place. Between runs, both of you can rest on the wide platform at the stern.
A newcomer can ride it after the briefing, but its 230 hp engine is easier to enjoy for someone with a little experience. For a gentle first try, a recreation or rec-lite model is the calmer start.
