Day Yacht · 40 ft · Up to 10 guests
A 40 ft open yacht with orange upholstery, a bow sunpad, a teak cockpit with a table and a cabin below, for up to 10 guests.
The Fjord 40 is a 40 ft open yacht for up to 10 guests, with a white hull, teak decks and orange upholstery that stands out against the water. Her low, clean lines and open cockpit suit a small group that wants wind and sun, with one cabin below for a break from both.
Forward, a large orange sunpad fills the bow, with the windscreen and the helm just behind it. Aft, the teak cockpit holds a table framed by two wraparound benches, all of it under a sun canopy on the hardtop panel. Below deck, the cabin has a bed, light wood panelling and a skylight hatch, and the salon next to it has a pale settee and cabinets. A bathroom with a sink and a window completes the lower level.
On four hours ($2,850) she can run to the Venetian Islands and circle Star Island before heading back. Six hours ($3,500) leave room to anchor off Nixon Sandbar for a swim, while eight hours ($3,950) allow a slow afternoon at Haulover Sandbar and a long ride home. Compare her with other day yachts and half-day charters before you book.
She is an open yacht, so most of the day happens outside: a sunpad forward, a table and benches aft and only a canopy overhead. The cabin below is a quiet retreat rather than the main living space.
The bow pad takes the sunbathers and the cockpit benches seat the group around the table. A few guests can sit in the salon or rest in the cabin.
Under the canopy over the cockpit and the helm, and in the cabin and salon below. The bow pad stays open to the sun.
Four hours give one relaxed loop around the Venetian Islands and Star Island. Six add an anchored swim near Nixon Sandbar, and eight stretch to a long stop at Haulover.
